Juan G. Villegas is Full professor of the Department of Industrial Engineering at Universidad de Antioquia (Medellín, Colombia). His current research interests include exact and (meta)heuristic methods applied to multi-objective optimization, facility location, and vehicle routing problems. Professor Villegas is member of the research group ALIADO (Analytics and Research for Optimal Decisions)  of the Universidad de Antioquia. From october 2014 to augsut 2017 he was the president of the Colombian Operational Research Society (ASOCIO-Asociación Colombiana de Investigación Operativa). Prof. Villegas ha been Secretary of the LatinAmerican Asociation of Operational Research (ALIO) between 2019 and 2021.
